Lepidolite is a lithium-aluminum-potassium mineral and one of the most common members of the Mica family. This stone can be found crystallized as masses, slabs, aggregates, stacked sheets, and tabular or prismatic crystals. The strong pink and purple color that this stone emits is derived from traces of manganese impurities in its chemical composition.
Lithium and lepidolite
Lithium is used in society for everyday applications such as electric vehicles, batteries and even modern medicine. Lepidolite is the most abundant mineral that contains lithium. Lithium is given directly to patients as an ingestible substance to help stabilize the mind in medical use (especially in the treatment of bipolar disorder). Because of the high lithium content in Lepidolite, we recommend placing a piece directly over your third eye or crown chakra during a meditation session.
