Zebra calcite is a recently discovered variety of calcite. It is a calcium carbonate mineral and one of the most common stones on Earth. However, this extremely unique variation has only been found in the last few years in Mexico. It exhibits striped patterns throughout the stone that resemble zebra stripes. It may even contain traces of aragonite. Most of the zebra calcite coming out of the ground is just being cleaned and sold on the market purely raw, much like other varieties of calcite.
