Strawberry quartz is also known as red/strawberry aventurine. Strawberry quartz is a variety of quartz with inclusions of hematite and mica and crystallizes in mass formations. The colour depends on the amount of iron in the quartz. Some pieces may appear reflective due to the large amount of mica flakes. Strawberry quartz can be found in large deposits in China and Brazil.
